vcfo has opportunities for Austin-based Senior Human Resource Consultant to join our growing HR Solutions consulting team.

 

vcfo HR Solutions, a division of vcfo, assists companies with any and all aspects of the HR function in business.  Our senior-level HR consultants have an average of 20 years of experience providing customized solutions to meet organizations’ requirements.  You’ll work with clients in our practice cities, with support from a corporate team behind you.  HR Solutions supports companies of all sizes and stages.  In every engagement, we provide dedicated and experienced professionals to act as part of the companies’ team for as long as that company needs their services, whether its interim assistance, part-time support or project-based work.  Our Sr. HR Consultants work alongside experienced CFOs in a broad array of industries, company sizes and business issues, on a daily basis, supporting vcfo’s full service company model.

Responsibilities

This position will provide exceptional HR Consulting services to client companies, as well as help with the responsibility of building relationships, business development, sales, and service delivery in large and small companies around the Austin area. We are seeking candidates that are well respected in the business community, and have a strong orientation towards networking and assisting CEOs with strategic initiatives. An entrepreneurial mindset is a must!

 

Sr. Human Resource Consultants work directly with clients to assist them in a wide variety of HR related projects.  Typical vcfo HR Solutions client engagements include but are not limited to:

  • Recommend, manage, lead and execute on a wide variety of Human Resource programs from highly strategic to day-to-day tactical
  • Conduct HR audits
  • Provide guidance to executives, and provide HR leadership through M&A projects
  • Establish processes and programs to support human resources and recruiting functions
  • Develop and administer best practice forms and process documentation including, employment handbooks, orientation materials, and policies tailored to specific client business requirements and practices
  • Design  and/or administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, HSA, EAP, COBRA, LTD, STD, Life
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking
  • Design incentive compensation and executive compensation programs
  • Develop and roll out employee performance management programs
  • Employee relations
  • Develop employee communication plans
  • Provide executive and employee coaching
  • FLSA related compliance and testing
  • Selection, implementation and/or clean-up of HRIS/Payroll software
  • Process mapping
  • Assist employers with unemployment claim issues
  • Provide guidance and leadership in the selection and implementation of HRIS software as required to support human resources operations   

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will thrive in a multi-client dynamic environment and has the following qualifications:

  • Superior communication skills – written and verbal
  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • PHR or SPHR certification highly desired
  • Strong employment law/compliance background (FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, EEO, etc.)
  • At least 15 years of industry experience with similar hands on responsibilities to those listed above
  • A “deep” generalist background
  • Experience with organizational change management
  • Merger and Acquisition, start-up, and rapid growth company experiences highly desired
  • Experience presenting to business executives in a very polished and effective manner
  • Proficiency in ADP products, ExponentHR, Paycom, Paylocity and/or other HRIS software
  • Superior project management skills with a very pro-active, “can-do” attitude
  • Some experience with early stage and/or venture-backed companies preferred
  • Experience processing payroll and implementing new payroll/HRIS platforms highly desired
  • Consulting experience highly desired
  • A high level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office products
  • The ability to multi-task with multiple clients during a week
  • Ability to work effectively in an ever changing environment
  • Flexibility to work an ever changing schedule with a variable pay model
